The new port in Vietnam will feature container terminals and multipurpose berths designed to handle various types of cargo. Currently, the project is in the initial planning stages, and the total investment required is yet to be determined.

Adani Ports’ International Expansion Strategy

This initiative marks the fourth international port asset for the Adani group, following Haifa in Israel, Colombo in Sri Lanka, and the Port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Recently, Adani’s new mega port in southern India welcomed its first mother ship. The company aims to speed up the facility’s expansion to capture a larger share of the international maritime trade, which is currently dominated by China.

“The goal is to make India a maritime hub,” stated Karan Adani, the elder son of Gautam Adani. “We are targeting countries with high manufacturing output or significant populations, which will lead to high consumption. Our focus is on increasing export volumes in these regions.”
